Inga Rouches (she/her) - Certified Hatha, Yin & Restorative Yoga Teacher, Founder of River Tree Yoga. I was introduced to yoga in 1977, when I was 14 years old, by my Danish mother. I practiced with her in our living room and yoga has been a part of my life ever since. I became certified in 2010 at the 200 hour level at Pacific Yoga in Seattle. My inspiration and influences have come from many different teachers: Nature, my mother, Angela and Victor, Gay Meagley, Kelly Rush, Theresa Elliot, Kathryn Payne, Judith Lasiter, Bernie Clark, Jivana Heiman, and Amber Karnes to name a few. I enjoy making yoga accessible to people of all levels and ages. I encourage people to go inside and listen to their bodies. For me yoga is a moving mediation. When we drop into our inner world we discover a vast and ever changing landscape – exploring inward and peeling away the layers we discover our true nature. Listen to this deep voice and allow it to guide you on life’s journey. The process of self discovery is life long. I encourage students of yoga to honor where they are in the process. My classes are all levels, beginners are welcome. I give options to work at different levels and it is important that you do not try and compare yourself to those around you. Listen to your body and you will stay injury free.
